Episode 58: The Cow Drop

It's our April book week! We're talking Neil Gaiman's American Gods this week and boy oh boy did a lot of it probably go over our heads. We kick off the episode with our general likes/dislikes of the novel before going to podcast therapy with our protagonist, Shadow. Then we have a fun interlude of our own with another classic Dan story! And the fun doesn't stop there as we move into a discussion of how our modern god/goddess of social media would destroy the new gods from within. Throw in some "real talk" about the effects of technology on anxiety and America's problematic obsession with manifest destiny, and you have yourself a full episode. Don't forget the cherries on top, a Marvel movie tie-in and major reveal of Shadow's true identity!
